I was not impressed with the tiny plastic race and the little metal bearings, so it is not hard for me to believe that this bearing might be the culprit. I cleaned and re-lubed the entire mechanism on my zero-100 and for whatever. I reassembled it and packed it with grease. Sorry for the dupe post, figured maybe Ill try it here for better visibility. I even took the bearing apart and cleaned it thoroughly. In the clean-up process I cleaned all these parts. The other possibility might be that the noise is coming from the bearings. Garrard's Zero 100, in basic performance, easily ranks with the finest automatic turntables on the market. It could be that the shaft is rubbing/bumping some spot on each revolution. I cannot figure out exactly where the noise is coming from. It happens at exactly the same spot on each revolution. I have noticed a small rumble, or low thump, thump coming from the platter area on each revolution.
